Lester is a dedicated violin educator, renowned for his nurturing yet systematic approach to violin teaching. A graduate of the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music at the National University of Singapore (NUS), his deep musical knowledge forms the foundation of his educational philosophy, which balances strong technical mastery with passionate artistic expression.
Lester's commitment to music education extends far beyond the private studio. He is the founder of the Musox School of Music Crafters, as well as the Music Director and Founder of the MacPherson Philharmonic Orchestra, fostering community music-making at a high level. Further showcasing his versatility, he has shaped young talents as the director of the Victoria Junior College String Ensemble.
Through these diverse roles, Lester has fostered a deep love for music in students of all ages and levels. His students are regularly recognized for their achievements in examinations and festivals, a testament to an inspiring mentorship that develops not only skilled violinists but also well-rounded musicians.
