Growing up as a little girl, teacher Kie has always loved music. Started learning piano at
the age of 4, she has been very enthusiastic towards her weekly music lesson;
subsequently joined the school band in both primary and secondary school where she
learned to play the flute.
From there, her passion for music grew even deeper and that’s where she decided to
pursue her tertiary education in music performance and teaching at the Melbourne
Conservatorium of Music under the tutelage and guidance of Mr Lenn Vorster (piano) and
Ms Mardi Mcsullea (flute).
During her bachelor studies, teacher Kie has also discovered her passion in music
pedagogy under the tutelage of Mr Ian Godfrey. And now back in Singapore, teacher Kie
understands the need to continuously keep herself current and relevant therefore she is
also studying piano under the tutelage of Mr Timothy Ku.
With more than 10 years of teaching experience, teacher Kie is constantly brimming with
ideas to support her students’ musical journey. Her love for music and children enables her
to engage not just with kids, but also toddlers!
